New Jersey Bamboo Landscaping was brought into address a difficult bamboo situation for new homeowners. The previous owner reported the bamboo was well controlled. But the next spring the bamboo was seen growing far outside of the main intended planting area. It was clear the bamboo had not been properly installed or contained.
Digging into the problem a little further, literally, it was discovered the landscaper who installed the barrier was far from an expert. The barrier was not clamped together, installed to the proper depth, and left wide open gaps the bamboo grew right through.
After discussing all of the possible options the homeowner decided to contract New Jersey Bamboo to completely remove the planting. While beautiful they did not want to continue with the maintenance that was required.
The bamboo was already approaching a neighbors fenceline, which was also not disclosed, which resulted in an ordinance violation. These are very common in NJ and now with the new Invasive Species Management Act towns will start cracking down even harder. If you are not sure if you bamboo is a problem, shoot us a message, we would be happy to stop by at no charge to provide a free on site evaluation.
